All the Kids / Rylee

Name: Rylee
Birth date: June 9, 2004
Illness: Severe Chronic Neutropenia (blood disorder)
Diagnosis: 2006
Condos for Kids Participant: 2006

From the Family:

"It was honestly like winning the lottery for a week. We were able to let Rylee play and experience life as a 'normal' 2 year old. She loves animals and was able to get up close to them at the Zoo and Dolphin Cruise. Just to see the excitement in her eyes as we went from one exciting activity to another. Financially, things have been extremely tight and we haven't been able to spend extra money on 'fun' things. We were able to get away from phones, bills, housework etc. and focus on spending some awesome 'quality' time together as a family. We had Rylee's illness on the 'back burner' so to speak, although it was still there, we were more focused on making the most out of every activity. The experience was priceless in our hearts and minds."
Jaime Cantu, Rylee's Mom

When you meet her, she is very shy. But, if you hang out with her for awhile, she will warm your heart with her precious smile.

Born with a rare blood disorder called Neutropenia, Rylee is susceptible to infections more often than other child. Due to the stages of the disease, she along with her parents await daily for news she will receive a bone marrow transplant.

She, along with her family were able to visit the Destin area in the fall of 2006. During their stay, the family enjoyed several activities including a night at the Destin Commons. This included dinner at Tony's Ristorante, time to Build-A-Bear, and a movie at Rave Motion Pictures.
